GM Plaza is the modernist "front porch" of the 700-ft-tall General Motors Building, designed by International-Style masters Edward Durrell Stone and Emery Roth in 1968. Now housing the Apple Store underneath its block-long expanse facing the Plaza Hotel and Pulitzer Fountain, GM Plaza's steps and cool round benches (which double as skylights for the Apple Store) are simultaneously as place to relax, as well as one of the most Instagrammable spots along Fifth Avenue.
