The Plaza Hotel

Designed in 1907 by master NYC architect Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, __the Plaza Hotel is both a gateway to, and an ambassador of, Midtown Manhattan__. It's famous for so many things--literature ("Eloise at the Plaza"), movies ("North by Northwest" and "Home Alone 2," just to name a few), dining, famous guests, architecture, sumptuous suites, high tea--the list goes on. Just looking at it lit up at night from the Pulitzer Fountain in Grand Army Plaza may be a sublime enough experience, but high tea at The Palm Court would be another feather in your cap.
