Fifth Avenue Blooms™

MoMA

Throughout the duration of Fifth Avenue Blooms™, come visit MoMA to see a new exhibition of abstract botanical drawings by the artist Hilma af Klint--and enjoy special bites and drinks inspired by works of art on view in the cafes. Hilma af Klint: What Stands Behind the Flowers is focused on a portfolio of drawings by the artist featuring jewel-toned watercolors reflecting the rhythms and bounty of the blooming season. On view for the first time, these drawings show af Klint developing abstract diagrams to express the interconnectedness of the natural and spiritual realms. The exhibition will continue beyond the galleries into the Sculpture Garden, where flora seen in the botanical drawings will be planted. Visitors can also enjoy limited-edition food and beverage offerings in the Museum's cafes inspired by works of art in the exhibition. Pick up a floral-design cookie created by Union Square Hospitality Group pastry chefs at the Espresso Bar and Garden Bar, or sip a special botanical cocktail at The Modern to celebrate the season. Finish the visit by stopping by the MoMA Design Store to shop for exhibition-related merchandise and other seasonal items.
